just win baby was the man trough and that's what they did. it was just one day after iconic team owner al davis passes away. good evening, everyone, i'm alan wang. it is the stuff great sports stories are made of. the raider nation welcomes a victor victorious oakland raider team. thomas roman is live at raider headquarters in alameda where he spoke to the fans and the triumphant team. thomas? >> reporter: that's right, alan. usually only a couple dozen fans come and welcome the raiders home from away games. and they say tonight's turnout was the largest ever. they say this welcome was because of the respect for the team and respect for al davis. it was a ruckus of a welcome

for the raiders in alameda. to the fans' delight the team came out of their buses and joined in the celebration. the raiders had a tight win as a result of a mike hobson interception. he thinks he got a little help from al davis. >> even though it was michael huff that got the interception it was al davis who made sure we had the ball. >> coach jackson hugged the fellow coaches and knelt to the sidelines and cried into his hands. >> it was a very emotional day. everybody was fighting for coach, and we were able to get it done. this is his football team. it is a great day of winning after you lose somebody as important as that to the organization. >> they believed al davis create the color flea dark fans that have supported the team for decades. >> he started something he believed in and stuck with it and created a fee nom.

deciding whether or not to sign them into law before the midnight deadline. lilian kim is here to tell us about a few of them he signed into law today. lilian? >> among the bills governor brown signed were three healthcare bills. one is a big victory for families with autistic children and two others are designed to protect minors. >> children as young as 12 years old can get the hpv vaccine without parental consent. the human papiloma virus is sexually transmitted and the leading cause of cervical cancer. the bill was signed despite opposition from parents rights groups and vaccination opponents. the concerns vary, but many worry vaccinated girls will believe they can engage in sex without risk. for bill nay the issue is more about the rights of parents being taken away. >> the concern is parental rights. this bill takes the parents out of the position of making important healthcare decisions about their kids. >> another new law affecting

minors deals with tanning beds. anyone under 18 is now banned from using them even with parental consent. it is a sig can't blow to the tanning industry who says 10% of the customers are under 18. the owner 6 -- the owner of was saw del sol is one of the few who doesn't mind the law. >> kids under 18 should be daning. their skin pigmentation is developing and they shouldn't be in a tanning bed. >> another bill signed by the governor affects families of autistic children. insurance companies are required to provide coverage for children with autism or other develop men developmental disorders. opponents say health insurance premiums have to go up for everyone. but elizabeth horn whose daughter sophia was diagnosed at the age of two says it is about time autism is covered. >> what we are seeing is a lot of states are getting on board with the fact that we have an epidemic of this chronic

illness which is extraordinarily expensive to support if we don't have support from insurance. >> there was a fourth healthcare bill, but the governor vetoed it. it would require women over 40 to have dense breast tissue. such warnings could have lead to unnecessary anxiety. alan? >> theangs lilian kim with us to nights. a bay area college instructor is facing charges after being accused of druging and sexually assaulting a student. 46-year-old scott sarheim was arrested. he says he was given an intoxicating vapor while attending a party at sarheim's home. sarheim is an instructor in vallejo. he is expected to appear in court on wednesday. in san jose, a second victim in the weekend shooting died from her injuries tonight. police say the woman and the man were in an alley in the 800 block of south third street when they were shot

early saturday morning. the man died at the scene and the woman was on life support before she died. san jose's homicide unit is still looking for the killer tonight, and they plan on releasing the identities of the two victims tomorrow. the pentagon announced the death of a soldier from salinas today. he was killed while fighting in afghanistan. 24-year-old army special list ricardo seras junior died when his unit was attacked. he served with the second bo tall yin, 75th ranger regimen from fort lewis, washington. the war in afghanistan started 10 years ago, and the fremont afghan community marked the anniversary with a call for peace. the group marched through the streets of fremont also known as little cut bull. some want to see the u.s. withdrawal its troops from afghanistan while others worry about their families if the americans leave. >> the only solution that we see is a nonviolent peaceful

approach. >> do you think it is time for the united states to leave yet? >> no, not this time. >> president obama has already ordered the withdrawal of 16,000 service members by the end of the year. 23,000 more will come home in september of next year. as egypt tries to stabilize, at least 24 people died and 200 were hurt after muslims and christians clashed in the streets of cairo. it is the worst violence since the uprising that drove mubarak from power in the spring. this follows an attack on a christian church. the military imposed a curfew around the area in tahrir square. an out of control car almost killed a boy waiting for a haircut in berkeley. the mother took these pictures near euclid avenue. her son was siting on a bench inside right in front of the

window when the car slammed into the store. a piece of plate glass fell on her son's head and it opened up a four-inch gash that needed stitches under and above his scalp. the driver accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. > ?ie and somebody stole a 700-pound statue of a pellican in novato. police are of onering a $1,000 reward for its return. the four-year-old bronze statue was stolen from the park at scottsdale pond. and an estimated one million spectators flooded san francisco this weekend. the blue angels roared over the bay today, but only for a few minutes. the incoming fog cut the final airshow short. the san francisco waterfront was packed with spectators as thousands turned out for the last day of the airshow. the five-day event ends tomorrow with the band

sfwhie -- it all began as a protest about the unequal dis piewtion of wealth -- distribution of wealth. but the only pie movement is mushrooming around the world. cecilia vega has a look at the movement and who is joining it. >> reporter: the anger is in las vegas. the protests are huge in houston. the frustration is in portland. the outrage has spread all the way to anchorage alaska. the movement to occupy wall street is now occupying street corners in more than 250 cities a cross the country. and it doesn't end there. there are now protests on every continent except antarctica. this is a group of protesters that is growing in size and diversity. it tends to be on the younger side. on a sunday afternoon, a number of people who have never come out before from

senior citizens to people with their children. like tom and his kids. he has been camping out for two days and one of his sons for two weeks. they came close to losing their home last year. >> it is hard to get through sometimes. i almost lost my house last year and i noy a lot of people who have lost their house. >> and a 30-year-old veteran of the iraq war. >> this is a group of people who are upset at the way business is being done and for good reason. >> protests continued today in the nation's capital one day after marchers including some anti-war groups stormed the national air and space museum. guards pepper sprayed the crowd and shut the museum down for the day. the camping and marching near wall street goes on and the people some familiar faces, keep showing up. >> what is it going to take for this to stop? for guys to go back home and to walk away from all of these marches?

>> well i hope that we continue to make the country better. >> that was abc correspondent cecilia vega. and the movement will spread into oakland tomorrow. today activists in the south bay protested outside san jose city hall. it has been one week since occupy san jose demonstrations began there. and the number of protesters have doubled to 300. students community activists, union leaders and business owners describe themselves as part of the 99% of americans over run by the nation's wealthiest 1%. >> we are the 9 fine -- the 99%. we are middle class californians. and we are not able to have good jobs, good schools and lead a good life. >> as we mentioned, the message will continue to spread into oakland. that will be at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow in front of the oakland city hall. and columbus day is tomorrow acknowledging christopher columbus' first

voyage to the americas in 1492. it is considered a federal holiday with states, counties and city offices. post offices and banks will also be closed. public school closures vary so make sure you check in with your child's district. oakland city offices will be closed tomorrow, but not because of columbus day. it is one of several unpaid days off city employees will be taking to reduce the $58 million budget deficit. city libraries will be closed. parks will not be staffed, but parking enforcement officers will still be issuing tickets. police, fire and emergency services will not be affected. the next closure will occur on november 10th. great food for a great cause at one of the bay area's premiere restaurants tonight. there was a full house in san francisco. a nice anniversary tribute dinner that celebrates the chef's 20-year career and pays

you can notice is bouncing with winds in the high elevations. the west northwest gusting up to 25 miles per hour in the highest peaks there. here is a look at current readings. still mild inland with 60s there, 62 antioch and concord. oakland at 60 degrees. san francisco at 59. 58 in the north bay. redwood city and the peninsula, 60 degrees. 62 mountain view and 61 right now in san jose. here is a look at some highlights to get you through at least the first to the middle part of your your workweek. increasing cloudiness overnight. we will bring you coastal drizzle. get ready for some afternoon showers developing mainly in the north bay and then it will spread across the entire bay area. and then get ready for the big warm up. the warmest days are wednesday and thursday. you can already start to see some of the high clouds drifting over the bay area in association with this tail end of the cold front. it is already picking up shower activity along the

coast. live doppler 7hd and you can see most of this is very, very light toward crescent city and eureka and moving in the south to southeast. and this will slowly move in toward the bay area overnight and definitely tomorrow. the high pressure brought us a delightful weekend. it is now going to relax and push off toward the south. and it is going to be right in this area. the leading edge of the cold front. and it will briefly move across the bay area tomorrow. and with it it will be able to ring out a few showers. much of which will stay north of the golden gate bridge. here is a look at our timing. 11:00 this evening the clouds will begin to thicken up. 7:00 a.m., morning overcast skies and mist and drizzle. but check it out. 1:00 tomorrow afternoon and down toward santa rosa. that's where the moisture feed will start. and then by 6:00 tomorrow evening it will start to pass by the golden gate bridge. and then as this front moves

across the bay area 10:00 11:00 it will start to fall apart. we are ?ot looking for a lot of rainfall. the heaviest amounts will be north of the golden gate bridge. we could maybe see a quarter of an inch. lows with the clouds increasing in the 50s, watch out for the mist and drizzle and highs tomorrow with the rain clouds overhead. it will definitely come down. low 70s in the south bay. san jose 71. low 60s at the coast. increasing clouds. pacifica 62. san francisco showers around lunchtime tomorrow. 64 degrees there. in the north bay, 68 for santa rosa sonoma 68 degrees as well. oakland, increasing clouds and showers late in the day 68 degrees. interior east bay in the low 70s and around santa cruz we will look for temperatures in the upper 60s to the low 70s. my accu-weather seven-day forecast, once this little hiccup moves through the bay area tomorrow evening, get ready for a nice warm up. wednesday and thursday highs near 90. 80s around the bay and even 70s at our beaches on thursday. and then we will bring in a

good evening, everyone. i'm alan wang. 234* tonight's -- in tonight's headlines, san jose police are investigating a double homicide after a saturday morning shooting. a man died at the scene and a 20-year-old woman was taken off life support after being gravely wounded in an alley off south third street. the pentagon announced the dead of army specialist who died while serving in afghanistan. the 24-year-old salinas resident was killed after his unit was attacked by insurgents. governor brown signed several bills into law including one that allows children as young as 12 to be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted disease called the human papiloma virus without parent permission. and another bans children underage of 18 from going to tans beds even with parent permission. and the raiders came from behind and then hung on for a

>> well this alarmed me. of course the shock value i didn't think. >> fern did as the man told her. she went to this website and clicked a button. instantly another cursor appeared on her screen and began to control her computer jie. he pulled up the programs on my computer. i didn't do any of that. he got in and he pulled up the menu. >> the remote cursor was whizing around the screen clicking on programs and websites and all the while the caller probed for more information. >> he asked me several times where i banked and where my visa card was. i told him the name of the bank. >> soon yellow warning signs were popping up on her screen. the caller said it was evidence of those viruses. >> and i said, what can i do about it? finally he got to the bottom line that yes, they could fix it. it would cost i believe $249. >> the caller kept pressuring fern to pay for. it that's when she realized the problem was not the vie --

virus. it was the man on the foin and the phone and the browser on the screen. >> i want you out of my computer and let go of my computer. i was extremely upset by the time i hung up. i was crying. >> fern scrubbed her computer of potential malware. she changed her passwords and contacted cive on your side. >> they are doing everything they can to get on your system. they will try and trick you and scare you. >> we spoke with internet security expert john harrison of symantec. he says hackers are using old-fashioned phone calls to get control of your computer jie. if they are on your computer they can do whatever they want. they can install malware to get you into a particular network. >> microsoft tells us these calls are from scamers, not microsoft. they put out a warn together public saying microsoft does not call customers asking for money to fix a problem.
